So I have some stuff to feel good about today, like getting good marks on my review at work and managing to score the one available window seat and getting three poussins for 75 p each at the butchers ...
But for everyone else I'd like to point out this great article that's been picked up here and there about the biological treasure that is the Mekong valley. This article is pretty but not good for the arachnophobic; for those sorts, might I point out the truly awesome striped Annamese rabbit that's among the rare animals that have been discovered "at the rate of two a week" (per this non-amphibophobe safe story)? The bunny is terribly cute and I wish I had one.

I'm interested that the Huntsman Spider is only described as 'aggressive' in the caption, rather than the article. Huntsmen aren't usually all that aggressive, so I do wonder if this one actually is, or whether the caption-writer just assumed that any spider 30cm across would be on the grounds of having the screaming heebie-jeebies at the very thought.
And the frogs rock, too.
Must repost for my fluff loving friends.
Who are mainly big gruff blokes as it happens...
