note 2 history mystery

I need a history book on the Aeolian islands, or at least Lipari. Based on the English language signage in the museum of Lipari, the history is like this:
Explosions
Rocks
No water
Some people made pottery on the beach
The period in which people were buried in large casserole dishes
An age of extremely well developed culture with intensely developed theater, spanning a few hundred years and including 400 BC
Somebody pissed off the Romans
Lipari destroyed
Lipari destroyed
A Norman church was built somewhere
Lipari destroyed
The present.

All things considered I think there are some gaps somewhere.

D'you think the gaps and the "destroyed" bits may be connected?

Heh, I think the gaps are caused by where they ran out of money to get signs printed in English. :-D

quick googling doesn't turn up any books but there are a few websites including an article, predictably, in Wikipedia. In Google books I was mostly coming up with travelogue type books.
