Why can't I find any used furniture stores?

I need a paper copy of the Yellow Pages, dammit. We just spent almost two hours trying to find a second hand furniture store somewhere close to where we live (the idea being that if it were close, it wouldn't cost too much to transport it to our place), and have accomplished nothing. I don't know if my Google-fu is lacking or if people just bin all of their used furniture or what, but I bombed. I did find a place in West Norwich, which actually answered the phones but had no chests of drawers; a place in Balham which had a non-working phone number; and a place in Shepherd's Bush (the Furniture Exchange) which appeared to have a rudimentary website but a phone number that was (???) not accepting incoming calls. So ... on a Saturday afternoon, we're going to spend 40 minutes going to some place that may or may not be open so that we might or might not be able to find a chest of drawers there?

No, dammit, it's lame, lame as the fact that shadowdaddy's Christmas present from me appears to have finally shown up but is locked in the porter's office until after Christmas (we didn't see the note until after their two hour Saturday open window had passed). And we don't have a weekly pass again as an attempt to save money so I don't want to blow a bunch of money getting around town today - need to make the least amount of stops possible since we get charged for each one. So I think we'll maybe go to the V&A for a bit, or ... I don't know, something, I want to do something besides sit in the apartment all day, even though we need to unpack. I know we'll do something. And we will go see Cinderella at the Hackney Empire at 5, and hopefully that will cheer us up.
