Flowers for tomorrow

I ordered a nice standing spray of flowers for the funeral from "Rainbow Florist" in Globe, Arizona just now (good old Google even beat out qwestdex.com on this one). Grandpa got a broken heart arrangement, the florist told me, and RT & Dorothy, Pam, and Harold Stratman (?) are all sending in flowers long distance. It should all look very nice. My sister will be driving up from Phoenix with her husband so I feel like the youngest daughter's family will be represented even if I'm not there. It's so sad that three of Grandma's four kids died before she did. I guess I'm looking forward to a pretty long life though, given how long she lived.

I talked to Grandpa for a long time this morning (making me late for work again, but it's not like he was going to call and I was going to rush him off of the phone) and he sounded okay. I guess she just died more or less in her sleep, which is a pretty good thing considering how sick she had been. He wanted to know if I wanted a vial with her ashes in it, and I didn't really but said yes anyway. What I'm hoping is that maybe they can find a place to put her that would let me put Mom's ashes in near her. I promised my sister a long time ago I would pay for a place to put her remains but we couldn't find anything good in Phoenix. Grandpa said he'd run the idea past Joy, so maybe something will come of it and Mom can get off of Amber's refridgerator.

In other news, I got an interview planned at Tripadelic for the Wednesday after my brother's wedding. It's kind of funny, he wanted to know where they were hiring black box testers these days, since he couldn't find any listings at the Borg - just SDETs. (Yeah, tell me about it.) I really hope this comes through - it's way more exciting than IDX even if it's on the wrong side of the lake.

This Sunday is Ukelooza at ReBar. It's going to be great! I hope I can get a good crowd to go with me.
