Although the wedding last night was really fun, I have to say that I am so glad it is all over now. We made it to the brunch this morning (tasty food, but I felt like I'd been run over by a truck, yet was NOT hung over - I only drank 1 1/2 pear ciders - ordered just for me! - and lacked a headache), then dashed off to shadowdaddy's birthday celebration baseball game (along with his mom and her husband, Stef, and Chris, the best man from the wedding), from which we returned to the happy homestead at about 4:30. Then I went to bed, and although I kept waking up I couldn't actually wake up enough to get out of bed ... I just kept falling back asleep. Finally I made it downstairs at about 6, and Birthday Boy had fallen asleep in the armchair. Basically, the second we got away from all of the action we collapsed. However, given that it was his birthday, we decided to go out and see a movie anyway ... So Close, a Hong Kong action movie that was compared to Charlie's Angels 2 but in fact reminded me of the Matrix Revisited - because the action scenes were so more inventive (sad but true).
So it's time to take the dogs out and watch life get slowly back to normal. Except tomorrow my dad is coming over to play Puerto Rico with us, Wednesday I have an interview I'm very excited about, and the damn floors still need to be redone - none of which is totally normal, but I'm sure it will seem so soon.
