I went to Italy and all I got was a sunburn

I've got a big writeup coming when I've had more sleep, but: our hotel was two doors down from a chocolate and tea shop. Need I say more?

Getting back home was a hassle, but mostly because of an "trespasser on the tracks" at Clapham Junction, which came on top of a "perfect storm" in which some 700 people all showed up at Gatwick at the same time, needing to get through passport control. We arrived 20 minutes early and still didn't get through to the other side for an hour. Gah. But can I say for the records the £15 taxi ride from Victoria was totally worth it (compared to a night bus)?
