The new Puerto Rico served its purposes admirably last night. I got to teach Jim Cash, skarrin and his Worthy Opponent how to play last night. Damned if Jim, who seemed to be struggling earlier in the game, didn't come up and all but bite me on the butt (final score: me 39, JC 36, WO 27, skarrin 20, SWO 34)! skarrin seemed like he would be a most formidable opponent, and I look forward to playing with him again. We didn't leave until 1:30, but I must have been having a good time because I got a backrub from leather daddy Richard, with whom I was dueting to "Money Makes the World Go Round" (and later serenading "Mein Herr" to as he continued to work the stress out of my back).
We're off to kayak in Olympia now (it's so sunny and nice), and when we get back it will be for our big dinner at Cassis. Yay!
