I love the smell of a coughed-up lung in the morning

Well, NyQuil only promises 4 hour coverage, but I made it from midnight to 6 without coughing, and then was able to mostly keep still until 8 or so, so it's like I almost had 8 hours of sleep, though for some reason I've awakened with "Promises in the Dark" playing in my mental jukebox. It's cruel, I tell you.

The weather looks very unpromising today and I don't see how we're going to get to fly with Boo. We'll be spending our morning trying to take care of this, then maybe go to Cranbrook or something. Or I can go to the nearby Talbot's outlet store, or try to find the pieces of my lung I've left around the apartment and jam them back down my esophagus. I could sure feel them last night, sitting under my ribcage, aching as I inhaled.

Ah, Dayquil, my new friend. Let's start the morning with a toast.
