Review, book, Monkey

My review for Will Tuckett's Faeries is now up. Short version: cool puppets, probably fun for kids.

My new, and last, Proust book (Finding Time Again) showed up today. I'm pretending it's midterm and not reading Proust this week, possibly for the rest of the month. I think I should get a copy of Madame Bovary and hook up with the Bibliogoths this month - supposedly it's not too long, so I might even be able to finish it in time for the meeting.

Finally, there's a deal to see Monkey (the opera!) I've linked to in my theater blog post above, but since it's for £65 seats for a matinee, I'm not really convinced that anyone I know will find it useful. Still, if you are interested ... I did my best.

I started M. Bovary just before bed sunday night and am now half way through. It's a REALLY quick read. I'm quite surprised. He writes in a simple naturalist kinda style, reminds me of an easier zola or hardy so I don't think you'll have trouble with it. :)
