Let's ignore the fact that it's freezing outside, and raining (and say a little something about how glad I am that it's not TODAY we're out looking at flats). Here's the feedback from the interwebs on what to expect in the outside world.

Free Will Astrology (me, Cancer): "Before you can fight, you have to know what you are fighting for."

Free Will Astrology again (J, Virgo): "I suggest you meditate on the theme of exile. "

Neoconservatism: the rumors of its death have been greatly exaggerated.

Meanwhile, a headline that leaves me almost incapable of speech: Astronauts try to work out kinks in urine machine. I don't even want to read about this one. I mean, whatever they're getting up to on the shuttle is their own business.

All of this said, I think the thing to do today is stay inside and clean, clean, clean - getting ready for my uncle's arrival on Wednesday and the inevitable "showing of the flat." I think, though, given the way it looks outside (is that idiot really going for a jog in the park in this kind of weather?), I will count on baking some scones at some point this afternoon.

I thought the second quote was from John Virgo, the snooker player, for a minute!

Ohhhhh, thank you. I'd been trying to remember the name of Free Will Astrology for months now. I couldn't ask the friend who introduced me to it (because he died earlier this year) and couldn't think of how I could ask anyone else..."Yeah, it's horoscopes...only it's *good*...no, I think astrology is nonsense, but these horoscopes are well-written, and thought-provoking, and therefore very useful...do you know what I'm talking about?"
