What have I spent my morning doing? Review of Midsummer Night's Dream at Southwark Playhouse
Yes, I could be unpacking, I could be napping, but instead I'm spending my afternoon writing my review of the performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream that I saw last night at the Southwark Playhouse. Setting it in Japan totally worked for me and it was a great show. I won't tell you again what a good night I had (for that you can read the review) but I will say that for eight pounds it was probably my best entertainment value on the dollar (as it were) for ages. Tickets are done "airline style pricing" so cost more the closer to the date that you buy, but hey, it goes until the 28th, so buy your tickets now and you can probably get some cheapie ones still (full price even is only 18, I think, so you can really get tickets for just about nothing).
