Back from Don John at the BAC

I've already got my review up for "Don John" at the Battersea Arts Centre. booklectic was actually quite right about this one - she said, "It might be worth 10 quid." It was really a huge letdown after the magnificence of Brief Encounter. Oh well.

Oh dear.

I think I was just quoting lovingboth, whose opinions on theatre I usually seem to agree with. Glad I didn't go to see it though, life is too short for bad shows!

PS. I WANT THE DROWSY CHAPERONE BACK.

Yeah, then I'd have a play I could go see on a weekly basis! (I guess some people feel that way about Spring Awakening - and I bet you might about Priscilla. But Drowsy was infinitely superior because it had original songs and tap dancing.)

I really do have to see Priscilla. Which seats did you say you'd have to get in order to see the stage properly (but not be pulled onto it)?

I think you'd only have a chance of audience participation if you were in the front row or right on an aisle. For best seating reviews, I'd recommend the Whingers' review, which I think goes into far greater detail about the seating in the Palace.
