Our trip to Open Circle Theater to see "The Passive-Aggressive Kingdom" was disappointing. Most of the things promised in the Stranger's preview, which described it as "an extravaganza of theater, visual art, music, and interactive installations on the theme of aggression" weren't delivered, such as the Tickle Torture Room and the "information booths tabled by anarchists and anger-management groups." However, there was a pleasant free massage table, which took all of my aggression out and left me limp for the painful Mamet excerpts that followed a set by some fine musicians. We took our goods from the "Grab Bag of Crap" and left immediately after: the punishment was too much, and the room far too cold. It's possible we should have gone to see the "Dream of Zeus" opera down the street at ConWorks, but I think I was doomed to spend the evening in a near-comatose state at either venue.
This was a good week at work. It was disturbing, though, to have a PM I respected tell me "Tripadelic: We Run on Magic!" and then have a developer say nearly the same thing. Christ, folks, let's get our development processes down a little more firmly, huh?
