Did you maybe think you could get that Salome beauty and decadence feeling by watching it on stage, perhaps in the current touring version directed by Jamie Lloyd and traveling all over England before it settles for a month's run at Hampstead Theater at the end of the month?
Wait no more, or shred your tickets, for I have been to see it and it was bad. I stayed up last night until 11:30 (not a good way to deal with being sick but I really wanted to let people know about this show) writing it up. Sure, I've got some pleasant dance shows I could review, but this horrible Salome, it begs people to be warned not to see it.
In jollier news I'm off to see the Kabuki at Sadler's Wells tonight; I'm treating wechsler as an early birthday present. I'll be spending the day at home storing up my energy and working on cleaning the house, most of which I expect will be massively rearranging the kitchen to make room for the wine & chucking out the extra tupperware. And I will probably be taking a nap. I'm still not well but I will be watching Kabuki tonight!
