Sea dragon

Diva the highlight of weekend

Today I got shallow and went to the Bon to see about getting me some glitz. As I expected, the post-holiday rejects included lots of velvet and lots of red. I fell in love with this silver-grey velvet tunic with Chinese chop patterns on it, but of course there was only one and it was small. How do I know this? I went through every 50% off rack on the second floor and there weren't any others. I did, however, pick up a nice V-neck paisley velvet shirt, a red floral velvet tunic (by the same maker as the other), and a cutesy floral miniskirt that is straight out of Lily Pulitzer. Everything was about $12 each, but they're not returnable. I'm expecting I'll hit the Lynnwood Bon and look for the tunic again tomorrow.

Otherwise ... I did some work on the yard today, Worthy O kept up the battle in the bathroom, and we took the dogs out to Marymoor where they had a ripping time. I made two real meals today (curry chicken for lunch and tortellini with homemade alfredo sauce for dinner, which we ate over the movie) and between that and the trip to Trader Joe's I think I'm good for good this week.

I should add that thanks to the popularity of seeing movies at the Cinerama we are still Two Towers virgins. We consoled ourself with pinball at SureShot and a fat load of CDs from Tower, which was having a 25% off everything sale. Then we picked up Diva and Return of La Blue Girls Episode 2, which we watched and found rather lacking in good dialogue, although there were certainly plenty of tentacled monsters to make up for it.

I'm going to have to do some Karaoke this week. It's been too long!
