First day at V*** - how could I forget my tea cup?
Last night
It's off to the Doctor for me ... let's hope I don't have an, um, serious problem.

Late afternoon, and I'm at home reading the new Gibson book and eating buttered popcorn. I feel really free, at peace. I haven't felt this relaxed in a while. There's only one dog in the house, and I have a complete lack of responsibilities ahead of me this weekend, soaking dishes aside. I'm pretty sure this feeling has been brought on by staying nearly completely away from the internet today, although my little brain cells were buggering with information and I was relieved I hadn't killed any of them off in a while.
The doctor said I have some kind of bizarre blood blister, and made an appointment for me to have it cauterized off Monday (they'll check and make sure it's nothing more serious at that time, too). Of course it blew up again after I got home, but other than trying to make sure I didn't bleed on the linoleum (and wasting rather a lot of kleenex) it wasn't a big deal.
I want to get back to my book now. Over and out.
