Biorythmns off today

So ... today there's a big event near my office. Worthy O and I decide to ride our bikes instead of driving to work. I haven't been on my bike in a while, but I get all dressed up in my bike gear, get my bag of stuff together and discover ... I never put the new bike basket on my bike. OK, that's fine, I'll wear my bag over my shoulders. So I get the bike down the stairs and onto the street and discover ... the back tire is so flat you can feel it when the rims go over the valve. I drag the bike back upstairs and stash it behind the barbeque.

Now I'm going to be late to work. I change into my work clothes (no need for the bike clothes now), and decide to wear the tennis shoes I was going to wear on the bike since they're better for walking than the shoes I'd picked for the office (they match my skirt perfectly but since I haven't worn them before I figured I'd probably get quite a blister on a two mile walk). I haul butt out the door, and get to work, only to discover ... I get to wear my tennis shoes all day. Very sexy with the black hose and a skirt on. I hope the rest of the day improves.

Duck and cover, or sit at a table and drink

This guy is so right it makes me want to be an alcoholic, so I can remember what it feels like to not be so ashamed of being American that I want to hide under a table.

In other news, I'm heading back to the Grand Illusion to see the 9 PM Sirk movie. "Sirk pulls out all the cinematic stops in this wrenching story of the very, very rich whose lack of morality and character lead to ruin and death." 40 years later they'd just send a bunch of poor Americans to invade a defenseless third world nation, and no rich person would even get his hair ruffled!

I finished my first official test pass at work today, and now I'm going to write the first test plan I've done in about two years. Yay!
