I'm just a cock-eyed pessimist

For three weeks (ending last week when the stem of the most delicate one snapped), I had a (spring) crocus, (late summer) dahlias, and winter camellias all in bloom at the same time. It was very bizarre. Most strange is the crocus, which is only supposed to bloom once a year, at least as far as I know. I'm guessing the rain set it off.

I know I'm a 'tard, but Joel Spoelsky just sent an email out about Aardvark'd - a documentary about four interns at a software company given the onus to "build some code" over the course of a summer - and I'm all excited about it. You just really never see movies about my industry, perhaps because our triumphs are subtle ones that are difficult to promote in a medium that thrives on car chases and big explosions. At any rate, I just watched the trailer, and now I want to see the movie.

I get excited about people making software. It's embarassing.
