So ...
1. The Delta airline site has information for carry on limitations for "from or within the U.S., from or through the UK, and to the U.S. " Does there seem to be an option missing?
2. American allows 60 lbs per bag, and $80 for an extra bag. Delta is 50 lbs per bag and $100 for an
extra bag, AND, they then note, "you'll be charged an excess baggage fee each time you go over any one of the free allowances. For example, if you have an extra piece of baggage that goes over the weight limit and the size limit, then you'll be charged 3 times—once for the extra bag, once for going over the size limit, and once for going over the weight limit." I mean, come ON guys, do you have to be such cheap pikers? American Airlines kicks your asses!
God, I don't want to sit around and repack my bags all night, this will make me go completely crazy. But I sure would like to know just RIGHT NOW what the rules are about carryons. Come on, if I'm only allowed one I need to know ASAP and start moving stuff around!
And, for the record, I don't know how I'm going to carry all of this crap out of the airport. Three suitcases and a carry on and a laptop bag? I hope
wechsler meets me at Gatwick with a sherpa, or at least a team of hearty llamas. Or some Shetland ponies - I hear they're very strong for their size.
Also, it's almost 3 AM and I'm tired.
