London Biker

I'm back at the gym today

I'm still feeling a little weird after yesterday.

I managed to make it into the gym again today - I was feeling fussy sitting at my desk anyway, so it was good to get out and have some physical activity. It was the usual 10 minutes of rowing (234.0 split, 29 strokes per minute, left my heart at 155 BPM - think the pressure might have been low) and 10 minutes of biking. I watched the TVs while I was biking, and it left me wondering: when did Christina Aguilera become a goth? Not that it doesn't look good on her, mind. I've been getting too warm during my workout so I actually brought what I needed to take a shower. I also brought some shorts that J picked up in the US for me. My thought: too too short. They looked like they were designed for a sprinter. Maybe I can just cut off some of my sweat pants to get the right length ... the pair I got at the dollar store that has one leg four inches shorter than the other one would be perfect.

Tonight: Wahaca at 6, then Carlos Acosta.
Ballet

Carlos Acosta is brilliant, again

I had a great time at the Carlos Acosta show at the Coliseum, even though we had crap overpriced balcony seats. The review is up and I'm calling it a night.

Also, in my Thursday Next novel, as she was rescuing a William Shakespeare clone, she was attacked by a bunch of genetic experiments, followed by an army of cloned Napoleons, only to be saved by an army of, er, Wellingtons. Now she's going to play competition croquet with a team half composed of Neanderthals, and somehow this all makes sense.
