Writing successes and failures and 新年快樂

It's been a week of pretty heavy theater blogging for me - four reviews up since Monday! (I'm supposed to write up the ballet I saw Friday, too, but I haven't got around to it yet.) Meanwhile of the various people who contacted me about using my content, the students (no pay) went ahead and did their January issue without me, while LastMinute.com looks like they extended their reach too far in front of what their tech team has time to work with. Still, they owe me $40 for the story I did last month, even if they didn't publish it. Get on it, folks.

Meanwhile, a project of a friend of mine (the guy who got me to start taking my theater blogging seriously) has taken off, and I am now on the editorial list for UpTheWestEnd.com. It's a review aggregator, done very nicely and currently without ads, and I've been trying to fill in content for shows that I reviewed way back when that are still running (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Misanthrope).

And then, sigh, I have to write up a two-hour long presentation on Agile to give at work tomorrow to my employees, which are barely aware of the existence of anything besides waterfall. It's going to be a long day and I'm going to be spending a lot of it attached to the computer. Fortunately we have a Chinese movie planned with robot_mel at the BFI so there will be some fun yet. 新年快樂 everyone!
