I forgot three things

I was having a hard time last night coming up with three positive things. So here's' one:
1. Pilates was great yesterday - Alison really worked me out and focused on developing my weaker muscles, so I'll be ready to do more later.

Negative things included staying up past midnight (I MUST stop doing that), having my confidence completely derailed about being able to be social with groups of people, and discovering that the version of the citizenship form I'd printed out had been corrupted so the headers at the top of the page had printed out as a tiny question mark - and I hadn't noticed. So I have to print it out all over again and redo it. At least I got my Pilates instructor and her husband to sign the character thing, so I've got that done. Let's call that 2. And 3 is that even though I woke up looking terrible I didn't run out of energy before the end of the day.

Arms and legs are broken out in a rash this morning but face doesn't look spotty and is only mildly puffy so with luck things will cool down enough that I won't get any funny looks when I walk into work today. Otherwise: really fucking cold.

Review - Peter and Alice (or rather Judi Dench and Ben Wishlaw do a play together)

I had very high hopes for Peter and Alice, the only original play being done as a part of the Michael Grandage company residence at the Noel Coward Theater (a two minute walk from my office). Apparently, so did a lot of other people, but I think it's because, for them, they were getting the chance to see M and Q on stage.

Anyway. I can say this: it has resulted in nearly the highest number of blog hits ever on my website. It's at 682 as I write this. Will it beat the 811 "Carlos Acosta spike" of several years back? Probably not. But I've still got nearly two hours. Fingers crossed ...

Resaw Old Times tonight

Good things.
1. Free massage at work today. Was still sore from Pilates but I liked that I worked hard enough to be sore.
2. Lovely dinner with my friend Nahid before the play. I want to slowly convert her into my sister. She makes me so happy.
3. Totally fucking broke out in a rash over dinner. Nahid: "Tell your body that you're fine, you're just all ramped up because you've been laughing so hard." She may have been right. Or not, but you know, I like the message, and she was making me laugh so hard I could imagine it setting off an adrenaline reaction. She gets my sense of humor, too.
4. Found a copy of Noel Streatfield's Circus Shoes in the Oxfam near the British Museum today and started reading it over lunch. Picked it back up on the way home and OOPS missed my stop. I was laughing at the time - kinda perfect, really.

Old Times didn't make any more sense to me than it did when I saw it 8 years ago with shadowdaddy, but hey, 10 quid seats, 80 minutes long, and I actually think it's a pretty fucking awesome play, even if the cast didn't give a particularly committed performance tonight.

Legs were rashy all day. Only cooled down around 3 or 4. Would like it to stop.

Conference all day tomorrow ... then possibly Ballet Revolucion with "Tubz," a fan of my blog. We shall see.
