I'm just a cock-eyed pessimist

My Duc van Tol Cochineal and some of my fancy species tulips bloomed today. I'll have to look them up and see if I can figure out what they are ... variegated foliage, red/orange flowers. We can admire them from the patio, where we're having breakfast this AM (me and J and Katy). It's a lovely spring morning.

 

 

I think it might be Tulipa Stapfii but the striped foliage makes it look very much like a greigii ... I may have planted some Red Riding Hoods back there last year and they just are carrying on being very Greigii like. Stapfii has curly foliage so I'm guessing these aren't them ...
