Man, with four shows in a week, I'm backlogged with writing. I managed to get the review for Chimerica finished Friday but still have two more to go. If you're interested in the situation in modern China, Chimerica might be the play for you: fast paced, with snappy dialogue, it seems like less than it's three hours. But I found it ultimately dissatisfying. Read my review for a full explanation. I have one last week at work, and while I'm nervous about the financial situation, I'm mostly focusing on the positive effects quitting is already having on my health. It's clear to everyone that with the pressure off ,I'm getting visibly better day by day. Hopefully June will be the magic trick to finally break the hold the urticaria has had on me, and then I can get on with figuring out what to do with the rest of my life. Goal one: write my great American play ("Three Brothers"); goal two: stick with the Couch to 5 K program long enough to actually get to the five K. That sounds to me like the makings of a fantastic summer.
