Review: The Perfect American

Last week I saw a bunch of good shows. Among them was The Perfect American, a new Phillip Glass opera about Walt Disney. It didn't say he was a perfect American, but it did indicate that Walt thought he was. The design was really amazing and I'd say it was worth seeing just for that. And last night I saw The Cripple of Inishmaan, which I'll write up later today.

Meanwhile I'm sitting around waiting to be called from a company I have been pursued by for over six weeks, although maybe it's just the recruiter who's been pursuing me. They were supposed to call almost half an hour ago. Grr. I was supposed to have another interview at 11 today, but when I didn't get a confirmation of the location from the recruiter, I sent him a text asking what was going on. It turns out he'd left voicemail AT MY OFFICE saying he needed to reschedule. Classy! So I'm up early to take a phonecall that I'd rescheduled to earlier so that I could be on time for my 11 o'clock only that isn't happening and the 9AM one is now late. All of these people are irritating me and I only got 6 hours of sleep thanks to pre-interview jitters and I'm feeling really, really cranky right now.
