Word of the day: senhsucht

Was fascinated to find the word senhsucht last night - another one of those hard to translate German jobbies. It seems to mean longing or even homesickness, but I love that A Streetcar Named Desire is "Endstation Sehnsucht," which seems to have several more layers of meaning on top of it.

It was sunny and lovely today, and I got in two swims as well as a boat ride. I saw a kookaburra and learned about harbor versus "open water" bottlenosed dolphins. And I had fudge.
