Mad crazy work day forces me to accept quiet relaxing Friday

Yesterday was complete madness at work. We wound up rejecting the build after trying to get it on its feet for about 48 hours. I was the focus of a lot of the freaky dev energy, as - well, I guess I was the one who insisted that a certain bit of code had to be working for us to have a testable build. My my.

This, instead of going to an 8 PM play, shadowdaddy proposed dinner at La Carta de Oaxaca, which I accepted as they have knock-you-on-your-ass margaritas and the food is pretty cheap (we actually wound up getting too much food - three appetizers and an entree). Afterwards, we went to the Majestic Bay Theater so I could spend the evening in the company of my boyfriend, Owen Wilson. He sang me a wonderful song but for some reason insisted on getting into a three-way with two cheerleaders instead of coming home with me. shadowdaddy had a good time, too. When we got home around midnight, I got sucked into Sunshine (it had been calling to me like a demon lover the last three nights) and, unfettered by work-a-day restrictions, I stayed up until 2 AM to finish it. It was great! I'm hoping I can lend it to motomotoyama - I know she'll love it.

Today we've been on a nice stroll around Capitol Hill to enjoy the cool but sunny spring weather, and now shadowdaddy is off to help his friends in Theater Simple by lighting their show in Redmond. It was kind of last minute, and I'm sorry not to spend the afternoon and evening with him, but Cathy agreed to go with me to hear the Tudor Choir perform Antoine Brumel'S Earthquake Mass (written, I think, after the great earthquake in Portugal), so I'll have fun tonight anyway. For now, I'm off to buy some dahlias at the Dahlia Society sale ... such good prices, so pretty when they're blooming!
