I had nothing to do for three days and today I had three projects that all wanted my attention. How charming! And my recruiter took me out to lunch today. We went to <http://archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/texis.cgi/web/vortex/display?slug=pink&date=19961111&query=gallo+bothell>El Gallo de Oro</i>, which I had been wanting to try ever since I heard about its shocking pink exterior. The inside was pretty great too, with lots of black velvet paintings and really bad folk art.

Last night we went back to Mesob and tried the Gored Gored for the first time. It was chunks of beef swimming in a sauce that looked like cayenne and paprika mixed with oil. It was quite spicy, but not painfully so, and the beef was as soft as butter. Some day I imagine we'll try the Kitfo, which is traditionally served raw. But for now we're staying with cooked beef. After I had my fill I ran off to the Tablet meeting, then went to my brother's house to borrow Puerto Rico in preparation for our game party Saturday. I was pretty shagged out by the time I made it to the Panama for MahJong and was relieved when we got kicked out at 10. My reward for getting home early was almost two hours of insomnia as the cup of tea I had over dinner punished me over and over for trying to bend the "no caffeine after 4 PM" rule. Which, combined with the Mexican food, kept me in quite the coma today.

The bathroom is almost completely tiled, which wouldn't be the least bit interesting to you unless you were forced to take showers with plastic bags wrapping themselves around you. It's not very pleasant. I love the way it's turning out ... the sea life tiles are so pretty, especially the naked mermaid. No scallop bikini for this girl!
