I am not going to be able to handle getting on that plane
It's my last full day in London, and I feel all ripped up because I want to do about 900 things but I don't know which I want to do most and when I'll ever get to do anything I don't do today. It's supposed to be f**ing hot, which means The Garden (dance club) is out for tonight for the Streatham folks and, I believe, myself (all the time I've spent in the sauna of public transport has convinced me of this ... why don't they just hand you a bathrobe when you get on, for xxx sake?). This puts me this AM at the internet cafe near Leicester Square, the focus for most of my activities since I've been here. With the National Gallery, five billion theaters, the cheap tickets office, and an easy bus connection to our hotel, we've been here a ton. shadowdaddy is trying to get tickets to Old Masters, but I'm not sure if it's going to be a choice of hanging out with ciphergoth and friends tonight or seeing a show ... all could be solved with a matinee ticket (if they weren't sold out, which supposedly they are) and some telepathic powers. Or a phone call, which I'll be making soon.
"The Pharaoh's Daughter" last night was a hoot, a Cecile B DeMille ballet extravaganza that included a (live!) horse, a (stuffed!) lion hunt, and a monkey (costume) as well as about 400 different costumes, in singles and multiples. Our seats, £28 as they were, were STILL obstructed view, which was unfortunate as there was so very much to look at.
Alright, he did get the tickets, and it is for tonight, so I'm hoping that perhaps we can go to Slimelight tonight or something after the show. I will call and see.
PS: m_cobweb, the store we went into did NOT have your record. irrationalrobot, I'm afraid there is no Wispa bar in any of the 30 or so shops I've been into, but I'll buy an assortment of other goodies and see how they hold up.
