Of course, the next six days are going to draaaaaag by (can it be Sunday soon enough?), with almost nothing going on at work in preparation for the Big Do on Saturday AM ("Don't touch anything, it might collapse!"). This has left me free for spec reading and meeting attendance, AKA heavy daydreaming on the clock. I even stupidly stayed an hour after 5 playing Kingdom of Loathing, and while I did get my Accordion Player up a level, I never found a costume so I could go trick or treating and I was late getting to fruity_goodness's house for dinner. DOH! The pressure is off and I have collapsed into a puddle of unmotivated slackerness, a.k.a. the real me. Thank God that actually sitting in a room with people that have been to my house for Thanksgiving before reminded me that if I don't invite them, they won't come, and now I have four guests on top of my brother and sister in law, so I guess it will be happening for real and I (shudder) need to plan for it.
All this doesn't change the fact that I need to get to the 8 AM C# class at work on time tomorrow. We're going to be going over ADO.Net, which I suspect will be a whole lot like how it worked in ASP but of course if I sleep in and miss it I'll never know, and I'll never get promoted, and ... clearly, taking a dog for a walk in the cold and rain simply can't be in the cards for tonight! I'll just get that ballot filled out, study Japanese, and collapse in a heap - and call Monday over.
