Why Seattle is a coffee-loving, book reading, theater going kind of town

I woke up this morning to the sound of rain bouncing off the bedroom window. Wow, I thought. That's going to send me to the art gallery for sure. I've still got tons of bulbs to plant (around 300, I think), but if it's going to be pissing down like that, I'm not going to be standing outside with my shovel. I've got a story due on the Mark Ryden exhibit at the Frye, so that's my big destination for today, and other than dinner tonight in Redmond and helping some friends move tomorrow, I don't have too much on my schedule other than the dratted gardening.

Now, it's Thanksgiving Leftovers, Morning edition, which will be sausage gravy (sausuage left over from making the stuffing, gravy ... well, you know where that came from), bacon (also used to make the stuffing), and cheddar herb biscuits (sadly only two made it through Thanksgiving day intact). Yum. Back to the stove with me. And no, I am not wearing a cute little apron this morning, though my hair is piled on top of my head like the most geriatric of librarians.
