Positive signs about my cold

Wow, I actually slept all the way through the night without having the coughing wake me up once. It's a miracle! So between going to bed earlier than I did any night this week and not spending an hour or more awake in the middle of the night, I got more sleep last night than I did all week! Not that I'm all better yet ...

So I had this dream last night that I was being held prisoner by some kind of Roman/Greek general/emperor (probably Alexander the Great or someone like that). I was busy trying to keep him from paying attention to me (and thus deciding to kill me for fun), when the announcement came that the invading army was in sight. The emperor ran out to the battlefield where the statue of his god was set up and started praying to it, then had his favorite concubine get on her knees and start praying, too. While she was doing this his second in command started blowing on her feet. It all ended with the two of them in a passionate embrace, the concubine shot with an arrow (from the army) which she then used to kill the emperor. It all makes me wonder just what exactly I had for dinner.

Of course, now that it's Saturday it's raining, and while I ought to be working in the back yard my motivation level is low. We'll see what actually gets done today.

I should have gotten up earlier. My last dream contained most of the elements I hate in a dream--the fear of going back to El Paso (at least I was in Seattle for that part), trying to put in contacts that were half the size of my face, A. making excuses not to see me...ick! All that was lacking was a semester of high school I had to take over and a class with a final that I'd never attended.
