I am so happy to be working in Pioneer Square now

Had lunch at Koraku with Worthy Opponent, whose on jury duty today. It was DELIGHTFUL! I got the beef with sugar peas, he got the Tonkatsu Ramen Teishoku (combo plate). Afterwards we stopped by Uwajimaya and I got some very cute plates with the "waving Neko" on them, which will either stay with me at work and be my microwave plates or go home and serve as cat dishes. They were cheap, $5 for three items. My hope is that tomorrow we can do dim sum with motomotoyama and anyone else who might be free. And afterwards the "guys" invited me to go to Starbucks with them. Yay! I can't wait to start playing foosball again.

On the way out the door I ran into Tom O'Roarke, the CEO from the company I worked at 98-99. What a surprise! He's started a new company downstairs from here, and has some of the old team on board there. It was great to see him again - I remember having him as my boss as being the "good old days." (I'm kind of hoping that now is the good new days, but we'll see how things develop.)

I also ran into Leslie Harper of King County at Starbucks. What a laugh! She was very polite to me, but not cold, which just proves what a good politician she is as I'm sure she hates my guts.
