2. My brother and I went to see The Cheat. Moral: Don't go branding white women unless you want to get shot. Fantastic Erte-style fashions - I don't think I've ever seen a movie of this period with this quality of clothing before. And I'm afraid I found the villain hot.
3. Afterwards I dragged him along while I did some shopping at Pacific Place. I picked up some Occitaine Vanilla body wash (yum!) and three of the Jim Butcher "wizard detective" books (bought with a gift certificate I won for participating in some stupid morale event at work). I also discovered Starbucks is discontinuing the Chantico (chocolate sludge bomb), WAH! but received a free medium hot chocolate as a consolation prize.
4. Shopping concluded, I was driven to my brother and sister in law's house for only my second visit since the baby was born. I was served steak with a potato/onion side and a big ol' salad, which in my mind constitutes some pretty heavy positive reinforcement to overwrite the occasionally fussy nephew. Whatever, I enjoyed myself.
5. I am guessing the rest of the night will be something along the lines of walk dog, greet husband as he returns from rehearsal, eat ice cream, read trashy book, and maybe write my letters to the employers that are still in business. Sounds like a pretty full day, huh?
