Running at 60 miles an hour, I begin to be able to see through time
Innocence, which we saw at the Northwest Film Forum tonight, was fantastic. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that it was so cool, since it was based on a symbolist novel from Back In The Day, but ... it was just so creepy and dark and full of preternaturally aware little girls! shadowdaddy said it was like watching Picnic at Hanging Rock as cast by Henry Darger (see the icon). I may be giving this movie four stars - it was beautiful to watch and it never bored me. In fact, though shadowdaddy said he thought it was slow, I thought it was entrancing, every minute of it.
It was so cool, in fact, I felt drained afterwards (or maybe it was the Pilates earlier in the day). I tried to pick it up a bit with drinks at Rosebud, but though the company of shadowdaddy and splendid_geryon was most enjoyable - MOST - I was still wiped and called it a night at ten.
Anyone else noticed how everytime LJ does the autosave, the window in which you're typing the text gets bigger and bigger? I wonder if it's only in Firefox? I wonder if there's any point in telling the people who run LJ?
